Hamilton Public Library will host a situational awareness class, Safety Savvy: Skills that Make a Difference, on Thursday, March 26, at 6 p.m. in the HPL Community Room. Led by James Lively, this free class is designed to help community members become more alert, confident and prepared in everyday situations.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will host a webinar, “Applying Ethical Standards in Financial Counseling,” March 26 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Hamilton Community Center is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. each day. Menu subject to change Thursday: Smoked sausage, baked beans, coleslaw and cookies. Donated by Calvary Baptist, come play dominoes at noon.

Choices plans pop up event

LUBBOCK — AgTexas Farm Credit Services, a member- owned agricultural cooperative serving producers in 43 counties across Texas, is distributing patronage checks to its members following a successful fiscal year.

Hamilton County voters in both parties mostly toed the statewide lines in the March 3 primaries.

The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce awards banquet is almost here. The Banquet will be April 13 at 6 p.m. at the Thompson Square venue with tickets being $25 to celebrate the best of 2025. The tickets give you access to a steak and baked potato dinner with live music from Hamiltons own Jacob Chapman. Tickets will be available online Friday, March 20. The award ceremony will start following dinner, but nominations are needed. Nominations are due by April 1 by noon and can be submitted online via a google form on the chambers Facebook page.
