Getting a glimpse of what is to come for at least the next two seasons, Hamilton’s track and field athletes competed against mostly 3A competition on Thursday of last week and fared well during the always competitive Clifton Cub Relays. The varsity boys again claimed team gold, and despite scratching a handful of athletes from distance events where the Lady Bulldogs normally rake in a high point total, Hamilton’s varsity girls placed second. Coaches opted to pull some athletes from their respective events in preparation for the upcoming district meet to be held next Tuesday and Thursday in Hico.
