Connally thought he was done for

Dear Maria and Grant, Thank you and all your team for giving Hamilton First United Methodist Church such great coverage for our recent Harvest Festival. Kym Jeschke was instrumental in creating the graphics for our various ad promotions. We are grateful to all who participated in the weekend events. Local community projects and overseas missions will benefit from the generosity of those who supported our festival. Thank you again for all the wonderful publicity provided through the Hamilton Herald-News.

On Friday, Oct. 25, the Hamilton City Council met at 10 a.m. for a called agenda council meeting. It was brought to my attention the previous day that there was no social media, i.e. Facebook or Zoom, broadcasting the meeting. I had very serious concerns about this and expressed those concerns publicly after calling our meeting to order.

It’s a jolly holiday at the Weaver abode as I finally am cleaning out the storage unit I’ve been renting for seven years.

We just wanted to take a few minutes to say thank you to all of you who helped us and our family at the Holly Bailey benefit.

Clutching a suitcase in one hand and a satchel full of cash in the other on Oct. 15, 1878, Mifflin Kenedy caught the train for Dodge City where his son Spike was charged with the murder of a popular female entertainer.

I’m still excited about the turnout for Holly Bailey’s fundraiser. As of 5 p.m. Monday afternoon, $31,934 had been raised with more still coming in! It is an awesome feeling to see so many from our community come together to help someone in need. We’re all proud people, but sometimes it’s necessary to receive help. My sincere thanks to all who were a part of planning the event.

Hamilton English-as-a-Second Language Department wishes to express their deep appreciation to the local businesses who made donations for our students who earned their Language Acquisition Certifications.

Dear Grant, I hope the people in Hamilton realize how fortunate they are to have such a great newspaper with constant pictures of activities and students in it.
