County’s FEMA paperwork for 2024 finally gets OK
“FEMA is no longer a four-letter word in the courthouse,” said Hamilton County Judge James Yates in yesterday’s commissioners court meeting. After 15 months of no response, Federal Emergency Management Agency staff came to Hamilton last week. They worked with the commissioners and staff in the completion of the required paperwork for funding May 2024 flood damages.
Plenty of brisket for the band
Volunteers prepared the donated briskets for Saturday’s meal during the Hamilton Bulldog Band Annual Barbecue Cookoff. Each cooker team donated a brisket in addition to their entry fees. Mad Dogs to enter Lions’ den
Eager to get a first glimpse at the 2025 Hamilton High School gridiron squad, Bulldog fans filed into the Kooken Field grandstands last Friday for an intrasquad football scrimmage that began at midnight and lasted until nearly 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
