SHOW STOPPER: Hamilton’s undefeated 4-0 junior varsity Bulldogs went to battle in Clifton last Thursday without the services of varsity promotees Easton Marwitz and Madden Weaver and still managed to punch a 16-13 victory in dramatic fashion. Clifton scored late in the fourth quarter to cut Hamilton’s advantage to 14-13 and opted to go for the win with a two-point conversion try. Attempting to muscle the ball between the tackles, a Clifton ball carrier fumbled, and Bulldog sophomore Jose Najera (34), pictured above, scooped the ball and reversed field 98 yards to secure Hamilton’s 16-13 victory. In Hamilton, the seventh grade Bulldogs improved to 2-1 on the season with a decisive 24-0 victory over the visiting Cubs, and the eighth grade Dogs dropped a third consecutive close contest on Thursday as they fell to Clifton, 26-17.
