ROLL TIDE:
ROLL TIDE: Hamilton’s junior varsity Bulldogs rolled over the Longhorns like a tidal wave last Thursday evening in Early, improving to 2-0 on the year with a 24-12 victory. Weaver also nabbed a touchdown reception off the arm of Oliver Summers, and Kade Branquino pounded the ground behind his massive offensive line for a rushing TD in the win. SENIOR SLAM:
SENIOR SLAM: Ranked third in state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, the now 19-2 Hamilton Lady Bulldogs continue to rack up wins. After completing a dominant threegame sweep over McGregor on Tuesday of last week in Hamilton by scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-23, the Lady Bulldogs remained home on Friday to host Valley Mills. Working from behind in the first set to claim a 25-20 victory, the Lady Dogs proceeded to stamp a 25-21 win in game two. Valley Mills answered in the third. After jumping out to an eightpoint advantage, the Lady Eagles held on for a 26-24 victory to force another game. Hamilton rolled up their sleeves and ended the match with a decisive 25-16 fourth-set victory. The state-ranked Lady Dogs were scheduled to play in Lipan on Tuesday, and though a match versus Bishop Reicher this Saturday has been canceled, Head Coach Andrew Heers said the team was hoping to pick up a match versus Whitney to be played either Friday or Saturday. Next Tuesday, the Lady Dogs will travel to Waco Connally for a 6:30 p.m. match.
