The Hamilton Bulldogs kicked the Tigers’ tail Friday night in Hico to claim Hamilton’s sixth consecutive gridiron county title. The 35-14 outcome was far from indicative of the all-out shellacking the Bulldogs dished out on Halloween night. With the victory, Hamilton claimed a 41-21 advantage in a rivalry that started in 1915.

Hundreds of invisible mornings, spanning a period of over half a decade for many of Hamilton’s current cross-country runners, were awarded visual context during a race that lasted just over 13 minutes at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock on Saturday. Four Hamilton High School seniors, a junior, a sophomore and a freshman represented the Lady Dogs on the two-mile state course and staked a fourth consecutive and 10th all-time state cross-country championship for Hamilton’s historied Lady Bulldog program.
