Hamilton’s varsity Lady Bulldog track team captured their second consecutive team title last Thursday in the Tolar Rattler Relays, and after placing second in Dublin the previous week, the varsity Dogs raced to a first place finish in Tolar. Hamilton’s junior varsity squads both claimed runner-up team finishes in the Rattler Relays. Hamilton’s high school track teams will return following spring break to host the annual Extraco Relays on Thursday, Mar. 18. After dropping a district home game to Rio Vista on Tuesday of last week 18-1, the Lady Bulldogs recoiled last Friday to trounce Jonesboro at home 16-2, improving to 3-1 in district and 5-3 on the year.
Four Hamilton High School Lady Bulldogs qualified for and competed in the Region II, Division III Powerlifting Meet held in Dublin Saturday.

The Hamilton Bulldog tennis team played in their second tournament of the season last Thursday in Waco. “It was another great outing for Bulldog Tennis,” said Head Coach Miles Sellers. “Every Hamilton team member advanced to at least the semifinals in their respective brackets.” Hamilton’s aces will return to the court in Waco on Thursday, March 18 following spring break. Backed by first baseman Jacy Williams, Jonesboro softball pitcher Kinsey Smith (pictured) threw out the first pitch in Jonesboro’s new softball facility versus Hico on Monday of this week. The Lady Eagles succumbed to Hico’s active bats by a score of 16-5 in their home opener. Jonesboro was led offensively in the game by Lisa Pimento who crossed the plate twice and drove in two runs on two hits.
