Lady Dogs shut out Meridian at home
Hamilton’s Lady Bulldog softball team shut out Meridian in Hamilton last Friday, 16-0, in a ballgame that was called after just 2 1/2 innings of play.
LeGrande qualifies to lift at state meet
Hamilton High School senior Ethan LeGrande was one of just 12 Division III powerlifters in the 199-220 lbs. weight class to qualify for the state powerlifting meet last Saturday at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene.
Golfers improve by 7
A multitude of new faces are representing Hamilton High School on the golf course, many of which had never played a round of golf, let alone a tournament until the beginning of this season.
Lady Dogs beat Hico 7-6
Being that last Friday’s softball game in Covington was cancelled, Hamilton’s only game last week was on Tuesday at home versus district opponent Hico.
Extraco Relays a success
Beautiful weather accompanied this year’s Extraco Relays which were held last Thursday afternoon at Kooken Field. Hamilton’s varsity Bulldog and Lady Bulldog track teams cleaned up, grabbing a pair of team titles, and both of Hamilton’s junior varsity squads placed second overall in the local meet.
