HCSO addresses recent deaths, increased patrols
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office continues to move forward on two recent deaths which occurred in Hamilton as well as traffic concerns in the county. Chief Deputy Micah Looke informed that the suspect in connection with Jose Venecia’s murder has been formally charged and remains in custody.
HVFD seeks golf teams, sponsors
The Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their annual four-person scramble golf tournament on Saturday, June 27, at the local Perry Country Club. “All proceeds from the tournament will go toward the construction of the new fire station,” said organizer and volunteer fire fighter Jason Sellers.
City Hall hours extended, council explores fishing for trout
Hamilton City Council approved Council member Jake Robertson’s proposal to return city hall to its original office hours at their meeting last Thursday. Beginning July 1, official city hours will return to 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with city hall closed to the public at 4 p.m.
