During the month of February, store aisles are filled with a variety of Valentine colors and many heart-shaped cards, snacks and sweets. While all these items are focused toward one day, the entire month is American Heart Month, which is dedicated to our heart health.

The Hamilton Community Center is offering free, hot meals Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for anyone who would like to come by and eat.

Agricultural producers and landowners can sign up soon for the Conservation Reserve Program, a cornerstone conservation program offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a key tool in the Biden-Harris Administration effort to address climate change and achieve other natural resource benefits. The General CRP signup will run from through March 11, and the Grassland CRP signup will run from April 4 to May 13.

Early voting for the March 1 primary election starts next week on Monday, Feb. 14, and both the Republican and Democratic ballots are full of candidates.

A new fellow will be hired at Hamilton Independent School District to help students bridge the gaps lost to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hamilton Historical Museum The Hamilton Historical Museum is in the process of rescheduling events that have had to cancel due to Covid restrictions and weather. The Museum staff will be setting new dates and working on continuing progress of the Museum buildings and grounds.
