Kindergarten roundup May 20
Parents of incoming pre-kindergarten or kindergarten students for the 2022-23 school year are invited to bring students to the Ann Whitney Elementary School to tour their classrooms 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. Friday, May 20. Parents may pick up registration paperwork beforehand or on that day. They will need the student’s certified birth certificate, social security card, shot record, proof of residency (current utility bill or lease agreement), and proof of income (pre-kindergarten students only). Proof of income includes three consecutive pay stubs dated after April 1 for each adult in the household.
HGH receives national award
The National Rural Health Association has named the top 20 critical access hospitals in the country, and Hamilton General Hospital is the only Texas hospital on the list.

SUPERIOR- Hamilton Junior High’s sixth grade band traveled to the Pride of Texas Band Festival Friday and received a superior rating on their performance. The festival was held at Alley Cats in Hurst with activities including arcade games, laser tag, putt putt, bowling, batting cages, go karts and bumper cars.
OFF WE GO
OFF WE GO- Hamilton High School aviation class headed west Friday to visit the Women Airforce Service Pilot Museum, the Big Spring Hangar 25 Museum, the Midland Army Airfield Museum, and the summit of Guadalupe Peak in the Guadalupe Mountains. The hike to the peak is 4 miles and a 3000-foot gain in elevation. The students were in awe at each museum and admitted being challenged and humbled by the three-hour climb to Guadalupe Peak.
