Dear Editor, What a wonderful communities we have in Hamilton, Evant and the surrounding areas!
As the local county elections are over, we can now turn our focus onto our local city elections. There is one council seat to finish an unfilled term, two council seats for a full two-year term and there are three running for mayor. There seems to be some confusion about what the mayor’s role is in our form of government.
Dear Editor, This is a love letter to something that is very dear to my heart, The Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum.
Recently, it was brought to the city’s attention that all of the public toilets in Pecan Creek Park had been purposely damaged beyond use by vandalism. The fact that it was on purpose is saddening, because it’s the citizens who will suffer without these facilities when they are walking or participating in other activities in the park. To help prevent this from happening in the future, prison grade fixtures have been ordered.
The Hamilton High School golf program would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make last week’s Lady Bulldog and Bulldog Invitational such a success. It truly takes a community effort, and we are incredibly grateful for the many businesses, organizations, and volunteers who gave their time, resources, and support.
Atmos Gas Co. has contracted IronHorse Unlimited to replace the gas lines in Hamilton. If you’ve been in the southeast neighborhoods of Hamilton, you may have seen their crews working. The estimated time for replacing Hamilton’s gas lines is three years. Please be patient and bear with them as some aspects of their work may have an effect on traffic movement. Replacing aged gas lines is extremely important to ensure the safety of Hamilton’s citizens. Also, Atmos gas crews are replacing aged gas meters in neighborhoods after the gas lines have been replaced.
Letter to the Editor: I just wanted the Dry-Cleaning Store across from the Dollar General store to know how much I appreciate them.
