Dear Editor, The Evant Chamber of Commerce and the vendors of the Holiday Market Day and Christmas on the Square wish to express our deep gratitude for our community and especially the members and businesses of the Evant Chamber of Commerce.

Dear Editor, The morning I was writing this piece my first thought was to post it to social media, but I am no longer on social media. I left Facebook over 10 years ago and never once looked back.

My son is reading the Grapes of Wrath. Enter the groans from all the folks who read the torture device disguised as classic literature in high school. That’s right, pray for the sophomores and Mr. Cochran, y’all.

Dear Editor, The Hamilton Public Library Board would like to thank several people for their recent support. The Hamilton Herald-News staff has been very helpful in covering events at the library over the past two years, most recently the unveiling of the mural for the Children’s Library and the soft opening celebration for the Library’s Hamilton County Genealogy Center. Supportive publicity during the multi-year Expansion Project of the Hamilton Public Library has been of utmost importance in letting the public know facts about the library, its programs, and the community resources it provides.

Working for the Hamilton Herald-News has been a learning experience. Writing is not something I set out to do, but I challenge myself with each article I submit. For this I am thankful.

Dear Editor, On behalf of the Hamilton Band Boosters, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a role in making the recent Band Boosters Fall Festival an overwhelming success. We were thrilled to revive this beloved community tradition, and it would not have been possible without the unwavering commitment and countless hours of hard work from so many individuals. We would also like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of our Marching Season and helping with one of our biggest fundraisers, the Concession Stand at Kooken Field.

Dear Editor, Thank you, Hamilton ISD Superintendent Dr. Stewart and Commissioner Precinct four Dickie Clary and employees, for grading the road to the livestock barn.

Dear Maria, Hamilton First United Methodist Church held our exciting Harvest Festival the second weekend in October. After postponing the event for two years due to Covid, the annual festival occurred once again. The two-day garage sale began on Friday, Oct. 13, ushered in with cooler weather and continued through Saturday, Oct. 14.
