6 Lady Dogs hammer post-season honors as softball playoffs continue

District 8-2A released all-district softball honors on Monday following the elimination of Moody, Bosqueville, Crawford and Valley Mills from the playoffs. Six Hamilton Lady Bulldogs received accolades. Emery Parrott claimed first team all-district honors, and Reese Kelley and Bethany Thompson were both named second team honorees. Seniors Kayden Hudson, Kylee Little and Adriana Hernandez each received honorable mention recognition.

Bulldog juniors (l-r) Morgan Henkes and Ryder Coker placed first and second respectively in varsity boys’ singles during the District 11-2A Tennis Championships, both punching a ticket to the 2A Region II Tennis Championships to be held this Friday and Saturday in Richland Hills. Though just two in each division advanced to regionals from district, Henkes and Coker will be vying for a top three finish in Richland Hills in order to clinch an invitation to the state tournament in San Antonio, May 15-16.
