Hamilton’s Lady Bulldogs have batted through the order of first-round district opponents and were slated to begin round two on the road in Valley Mills on Tuesday before coming home to host Moody this Friday at 6 p.m. Next Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs will welcome Jonesboro to Horton Park at 6 p.m.

Though Hamilton ISD is closed for Spring Break, Kooken Field will be open for business this Thursday as Hamilton High School and Hamilton Junior High host the annual Extraco Relays.

SECOND ROUND RALLY

The Miles Sellers led Hamilton High School tennis team had a banner day on Wednesday of last week in Waco and returned home with a trio of bronze medals. The senior pairing of Laney Lane and Kinsey Mizell earned an 8-0 win over a tandem from Hillsboro and defeated another Hillsboro duo in round two, 8-4. After dropping a third-round match to a team from Crawford, 8-4, Lane and Mizell bounced back to grab a girls’ doubles bronze medal with an 8-3 victory over Hillsboro’s top pairing.
