Playoff Dogs to tango with Tioga

Fresh off a thrilling 27-26 home win over the DeLeon Bearcats last Friday night at Kooken Field to secure a second consecutive District 5-2A DI Championship, the Hamilton Bulldogs are now set to face a familiar foe in the first round of the playoffs. The 8-2 Hamilton Bulldogs and the 5-4 Tioga Bulldogs will kick off at 7 p.m. this Friday night in Godley with a bi-district title on the line.

The bi-district bound 8-2 Hamilton Bulldogs completed a second consecutive 5-0 run through the District 5-2A DI gauntlet last Friday night at Kooken Field with a fourth straight victory in as many years over the DeLeon Bearcats. The now twotime defending district champions capped the regular season with a thrilling come-from-behind 27-26 victory that included three goal line stands, four trips to the scoring box by each team, and a final go-ahead score by Hamilton with a mere 25 seconds remaining in regulation.
