Long before the sun rises, Hamilton’s cross-country runners are hitting the trails in pursuit of another state title. Hamilton has claimed six cross-country state championships in all and has become a mainstay at the annual Texas UIL state meet.
Hamilton’s gridiron squads will finally face opposing colors as they travel to Comanche this Thursday for their first and only scrimmage of the season. Action in Comanche will kick-off at 6 pm.
The Lady Bulldogs hosted Dublin last Tuesday for their first home volleyball matches of the season and swept the visiting Lady Lions in seven games.

The Hamilton Bulldogs strapped on the pads for the first time Saturday for an inter-squad scrimmage. Varsity and JV teams will face opposing colors Aug. 20 in Comanche. Head coach Casey Jones said, “We will release information later this week regarding attendance requirements for fans looking to travel to Comanche. Practice is going well, and our guys are excited and ready to face an opposing team.” Junior high players will report to the John D. Hall Field House at 8 a.m. Thursday.
