BRUISER: Taylor Long stampedes for a tough 11-yard gain versus Riesel. 

FLAG CORPS: The Bulldogs finally took the field a little before 9 pm last Friday in Riesel following a rain delay. 

TRAILBLAZERS: Hamilton’s Bulldog cross-country runners dominated the competition in traversing a three-mile muddy course in Keene on Wednesday of last week. The Bulldogs posted a team-winning 20 points, outpacing second-placed Hillsboro by 23.

Hamilton Lady Bulldog volleyball was scheduled to begin district competition on Tuesday in Meridian. Matches versus Evant on Friday have been postponed, and the Lady Dogs will host Three Way next Tuesday at 6 pm.

Like an Alabama anthem, the Hamilton Bulldogs plan to “Roll on!” after steamrolling the Moody Bearcats 54-0 last Friday evening at Kooken Field.

TRUCKING: Named offensive player of the game, Jakob Wal-ton barrelled for 145 yards and three touchdowns on just four carries in Hamilton's 54-0 blowout victory over Moody.

2020 LADY BULLDOGS: With matches scheduled on Tuesday of this week in Connally and final pre-district matches this Friday at Lake Belton, the Hamilton Lady Bulldog vol-leyball squads will open district in Meridian with a JV match scheduled for 5 pm and the varsity at 6 pm next Tuesday. In Lake Belton on Friday, var-sity will play at 4:30 pm fol-lowed by JV matches at 5:30 and 6:30. Hamilton's varsity Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-5 last week after dropping a four-game decision in Llano before outlasting 4A Venus in four sets on the road. The Lady Dogs fell at home last Saturday to Chil-ton in five competitive games. CLEAN SWEEP:For the third time this season, Hamilton’s varsity and two junior varsity volleyball squads perfected a three-match sweep over their opponent when they defeated Comanche on the road on Tuesday of last week.

Strike up the band. Football is here and the Friday night lights will be shining bright at Kooken Field this Friday as the Bulldogs usher in the much anticipated 2020 season versus the visiting Moody Bearcats at 7 p.m.
