Both were teenagers when they first got involved with drug use. As adults, the couple continued to struggle with addiction and the state intervened, taking their children. Then Jeremy received a card with information about Hope House from his cousin, who was a local Hope House supporter.

I just checked with the latest on the grass fires in the panhandle of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The high winds of the past two days have made things much worse. The total loss is now estimated to be over 300,000 acres. I mention this because the Hamilton V.F.D. responded Friday to assist in battling a grass fire that destroyed close to 200 acres which to my understanding could and should have been prevented. It’s awfully dry and what one may think is a small, controlled fire can easily get out of hand.
