Saturday is Independence Day, a day we celebrate this country coming together to fight the tyranny of England’s rule.

The Almighty in His holy word has given the standard by which we are to govern our lives (Jn. 12:48). To be pleasing to God we must abide by the divine standard (Mt. 7:21). Sadly, there are many that want to abide by other standards than the Lord’s.

In the wee hours of Jul. 3, 1937, a woman in Amarillo listened to missing aviator Amelia Earhart’s desperate radio call for help from halfway around the world.

The Hamilton Historic Main Street Advisory Board met on June 23 at noon at Studio on the Square for a regularly scheduled meeting. This was the second time the board has had a chance to meet in person, but this time with a different atmosphere while remaining six feet apart and offering virtual connectivity as an accommodating option.
