LADY BULLDOG BASKETBALL CAMP: 64 first through ninth grade campers reported on Tuesday for Lady Bulldog Basketball Camp. First through sixth graders were scheduled to practice from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday of this week in the Larry Eilers Gymnasium, and seventh through ninth graders were scheduled for afternoon sessions from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bulldog Basketball Camp for incoming first through ninth graders will be held on the dates of June 6-8. ALL-STATE STUDENT-ATHLETES- Seven Bulldog seniors were recognized recently by the Texas High School Coaches’ Association with academic all-state honors. Above l-r, Mason Guinn was named to the second team in both track and golf. Taylor Long was seated on the Academic All-State Elite Track Team, and Caleb Lengefeld received first team track recognition. Another spectacular Bulldog baseball season ended on Thursday of last week as the Dogs fell for the second consecutive year to the now 25-1-1 Anson Tigers in the regional quarterfinal round of the Class 2A playoffs.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BELL RINGING: Seniors Caleb Lengefeld and Taylor Long ring the bell after bringing home state track medals. The first Bulldog to bring home three medals from one state track meet, Lengefeld claimed gold in the 3200-meter run, silver in the 1600-meter run and bronze in the 800-meter run. ALL-DISTRICT - 10 members of the 22-8 2022 district, bi-district and area champion Hamilton Bulldog baseball team received alldistrict honors. First year Head Coach Jeffrey Timmons was named the District 7-2A Coach of the Year, and Chase Weaver was recognized as the District 7-2A Most Valuable Player. Receiving first team nods were outfielder Jaydon Watson, infielder Hayden Blackwell and catcher Bryson Tarpley. Utility player Ryan Worbington, outfielder Cole Bauman, infielder Sutton Lee, catcher Garrison Blackwell and pitcher Caden Hopper all received second team recognition.
