Hamilton’s three Bulldog basketball teams will close out summer league competition next Monday in Hamilton. Hamilton’s Varsity 1 squad will host Goldthwaite in the Hamilton Junior High Gym at 4 p.m., followed by a 6:30 matchup with Priddy in the Larry Eilers Gymnasium. The Bulldog Varsity 2 will play two games next Monday in the Larry Eilers Gymnasium, starting with a 4:50 p.m. tipoff against Comanche and an 8:10 p.m. night cap versus Priddy. The junior varsity Dogs will play Priddy at 4 p.m. in the Rock Gym, followed by a 5:40 contest versus Early in the Rock Gym. The JV will conclude their night and the season versus Dublin at 7:20 p.m. in the HJH Gymnasium. My name is Doug Franklin. I coached for 28 years, and 24 of those years were in track and field. I ran track in high school and for Ft. Carson’s 5 Army track team in Colorado. At Ft. Carson, we competed against all the universities and colleges from Colorado.
DRIVE - After returning home from a basketball camp in Lubbock this week, Hamilton’s Lady Bulldog basketball teams will wrap up summer league competition in Lampasas on Monday of next week with the varsity scheduled to face Marble Falls at 6:30 p.m., followed by a finale versus Lago Vista at 8:10. Hamilton’s junior varsity Lady Bulldogs will play Marble Falls on Monday at 6:30 p.m. on the campus of Lampasas High School in gym 2, trailed by a final match against the host school at 8:10. Sidelined all of last year with a foot injury that required surgical repair, junior guard Kelton Wright returned to the hardcourt on Monday of last week as the Lady Bulldogs tipped off summer league basketball in Lampasas. Wright led the Lady Dogs to a come from behind 41-31 victory over Lampasas before falling to the 2022 2A state semifinalist San Saba Lady Armadillos by a competitive twopoint margin. The varsity Lady Bulldogs were scheduled to face Lago Vista and Marble Falls this week and will take on Lampasas again at 5:40 p.m. and Burnet at 9 p.m. next Monday, June 20, at Lampasas High School. Hamilton’s final varsity Lady Bulldog summer league basketball games will be played in Lampasas on Monday, June 27, beginning with a 6:30 p.m. tipoff versus Marble Falls and a final 8:10 p.m. showdown with Lago Vista.
The Hamilton Bulldogs are hosting 14 basketball teams, including varsity and junior varsity squads from Comanche, Dublin, Early, Goldthwaite and Priddy, each and every Monday during the month of June for summer league basketball.

Hamilton High School was well represented in Waco last week at the Heart of Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes annual Victory Bowl week. 150 graduating Central Texas senior student-athletes, competing in basketball, baseball, softball, cheer, football and/or volleyball, were invited to participate.
