Shirley Jean Poole, 86, of Hamilton, died Thursday, April 21, 2022.
She was born in McAllen to Steve James Gorman and Gertrude “Cannon” Gorman and grew up and lived in the Rio Grande Valley for many years. She graduated from Pharr-San Juan Alamo High School.
Shirley was a stenographer and secretary for the US government and other businesses for more than 30 years.
