June 23, 1938-Oct. 11, 2026 Raymond Leroy Roberts of Hamilton,88, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Raymond was born in Belton, on June 24, 1938, to Claude Lee and Cora (Maynard) Roberts. He was born the 4th child of eleven children.
He met his lifelong love, Ila Mae Baker, and married on May 26, 1956, in Peacock. They spent 65 years making wonderful memories together until Mae passed away in 2021. For the past five years he went to her graveside daily, sometimes twice daily, to sit with her and read her scriptures from the bible. His devotion never wavered.
He was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Hamilton where he would occasionally preach the gospel in his signature good old-fashioned way.
He worked for many years as a cable splicer for United Telephone Company and eventually began his own company Roberts Cable Splicing. He retired around 2007 to help take care of Mae when her health began to decline.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ila Mae Baker Roberts, his parents, and brothers Amos Roberts, Ed Roberts, Billy Roberts and sister Ossie Scott.
He is survived by daughters LaNell Hall of Hamilton, Janet Martin and husband David of Hamilton, sons R.L. Roberts and wife Debbie of Hamilton and Roy Roberts and wife Carolyn of Grandview.
Sisters Leona Simons, Polly Stepp, Lorine Burleson, and Linda Yates, brothers Doyle Roberts and Ernest Roberts.
Grandchildren; Misty and Shea, Jamie and Ashley, Jennifer and Charles, Renee’ and Shane, Kara and Danny, Brandi, Clayton and Micala, Matthew, Michael and Chanelle, Travis and Shelby, and Abigail and Chance. 31 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
