Another great Dove Fest weekend celebration has come and gone, and it looked to me like there was a record attendance. I never remember seeing more people on the parade route, around the square afterwards and what had to have been close to a record number of vendors.
The 40th Annual Bosque Art Classic opens its doors Saturday, Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m. with the sale, dinner, and awards ceremony.

Hamilton Community Center is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. each day. Menu subject to change Thursday- Tamales, refried beans, rice and brownies donated by Lanham and Bethel Methodist. Come play dominoes at noon.
There will be a free clinic on septic system maintenance for homeowners from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27. The event is ouered through the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M AgriLife Research and the Lampasas River Watershed Partnership.
