EISD alum makes donation
The Evant ISD Heritage Foundation is proud to announce that Betty Marshall Stinson, an EISD graduate from the Class of 1953 has made a significant contribution to the foundation. Betty made the contribution in memory of her father, Mr. Terrell Marshall who also graduated from Evant in 1931. She stated that she was very much interested in the continuing stability of our school in Evant which provided her family with many fond memories.
GW Schoen Jr. tourney canceled
The 30 annual Gary Wayne Schoen, Jr. Golf Tournament scheduled for July 25-26 at Perry Country Club has been canceled for safety.

Hamilton County Commissioners Court issued a 90-day burn ban Tuesday morning.

Preserving the past
Twenty-two years into Hamilton’s history, on July 10, 1880, on the southeast outskirts of town, William Robert Richey, his wife Sarah Ann Wright Richey, W.S. Stephens, James Lemuel Grisham, Sr. and his wife Margaret Amanda Jones Grisham founded the Blue Ridge Missionary Baptist Church of Christ, now known as the Blue Ridge Baptist Church.
