A native and perennial plant fair will be hosted March 25-27 by AgriLife and Hamilton Master Gardeners. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the corner of West Henry and North Rice and the corner of North railroad and East Main Streets. More information to come in the Hamilton Herald-News.

HAILE WINS- Hamilton High School senior Tyner Haile captured top honors in the Drawing category of the Bosque Arts Center Art Council’s High School Student Art Show. Haile won the $100 prize for first place with the scratchboard piece, Kurt Cobain. Award-winning artist Joseph Barbieri, judge for the 2022 show, noted how the artist’s use of negative space and the placement of the deceased rock star on the lower part of the canvas depicted the somber mood of Cobain’s story.
FCCLA competed at Regionals last week in Waco. Ten STAR teams advanced to State and three of the spotlight projects received people’s choice awards.

Hamilton’s junior high track athletes kicked off the 2022 track season in style on Monday of last week in Tolar. Hamilton’s eighth grade Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs each nabbed team championships. The seventh grade Lady Dogs claimed silver, and the mighty seventh grade Bulldogs locked their jaws on a fourth place team finish in their first ever junior high track meet.
