Hamilton County Farm Bureau will have its annual meeting Saturday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center of St. John Lutheran Church. The meeting will celebrate the organization’s successes during the year and address policy issues of interest for area farmers and ranchers HCFB president Bennie Hromadka will highlight the year’s activities and successful efforts of the organization.
Texas Farm Bureau will host a hybrid forum for landowners interested in learning more about the impact of solar projects and foreign ownership of agricultural land Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. in the TFB Conference and Training Center, 7410 Fish Pond Road, Waco. The forum will be in-person and streamed via Zoom.
The arrival of 240 bound genealogy volumes was cause for celebration last week at Hamilton Public Library.
One of the newly bound genealogy books making its home in the Hamilton Public Library is At Rest in Huckabay Texas: Annotated Cemetery Transcript 2000-2001. The book was authored by Huckabay’s eighth grade class under the direction of teacher, Cindy Shipman. One of the students in the class was Andrew Heers, a coach and history teacher at Hamilton Junior High School.
