Letters to the Editor
Dear Editor, We’ve had an act of vandalism at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Pottsville. Someone felt the need to remove a cast iron antique park bench painted maroon from the grave of John Kopp.

A troublemaking dad
Letter to the editor, The ISD Board vote last night on the Ch 313 tax limitation was as expected, but a disappointing lack of commitment to the community who were well represented at the meeting with over 60 people. The potential loss of some of the younger people in the district will change the direction for the future, there are consequences for every decision, and unfortunately some cannot see that for a few dollars waved in front of them. If your elected officials do not reflect the values of the community then it is time to rethink who you give your vote to, you are the change that needs to happen.
Letter to the Editor: The City Council has portrayed Steve and me as to having ignored all notices and warnings concerning our building at 110 S Railroad—
Thankful pets go fowl when stuffed with treats
Letter to Editor I would like to say a very special thank you to Patricia Leach and LouisLowe for the pep rally given in my honor on October 14 during Cancer Awareness month. Additionally, I want to thank the school staff and cheerleaders to make such a time so special. To say that I was surprised and overwhelmed is an understatement! You never expect you will hear the word “CANCER” in your life, but I have had excellent support from the beginning from Dr. Robbye Lengefeld, the Hamilton General Hospital and staff and my oncology team. I’m overwhelmed with the support from my entire Hamilton community. Your prayers sustain me in this journey. I love my hometown Hamilton so much and with God’s help, I and my precious family will continue to push through all the tough days to better days. I thank you and I am so blessed with you all. Mavis Finch Letter to the Editor, We all love to hang a name on things, and I have been contemplating this issue for some time now when people ask me what I should call myself, descriptive wise. Some people have some pretty imaginative terms, but I can’t print them here!!
Georgians give their lives for Texas
Editor: I look forward to reading the Letters to the Editor in the Hamilton Herald-News each week.
Did a swashbuckling swindler slip a certain Texas sena-tor a big wad of cash on Nov. 6, 1960? Four years later, that was the $50,000 question that threatened to sink Ralph Yarborough’s reelection campaign.
Dear Editor: On Monday, Oct. 17, I attended a Hamilton ISD School Board meeting. This meeting was well attended with standing room only for concerned citizens. The majority of these concerned taxpayers were there to express their objection( s) to chapter 313 tax abatements for proposed solar farm developments.
