Hamilton Bull Sharks swim team competed at the TAAF Summer Games of Texas in Corpus Christi last weekend.

Hamilton High School athletes began fall workouts on Monday of this week for volleyball, cross-country and football.

ALL-STATE- Texas Sports Writers Association named Hamilton sophomore Chase Weaver to the 2A all-state second team as an outfielder and awarded him an all-state honorable mention nod for his work on the mound as a pitcher this past season. Weaver received 2A first team all-state recognition as an outfielder by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association earlier this summer. On the right, senior Colby Bailey also received 2A all-state honorable mention recognition from the TSWA as a third baseman for the Bulldogs. Bailey was named the District 7-2A Offensive Player of the Year this past season, and Weaver was recognized as the District 7-2A Pitcher of the Year. From the mound, Weaver recorded 100 strikeouts as a sophomore, and Bailey registered 132 putouts during his senior campaign in leading the regional quarterfinalist Bulldogs to a 23-11-1 winning record. Hamilton ISD hosted a successful youth softball camp last week, led by the 2021 playoff-contending Lady Bulldog softball team and Head Lady Bulldog Softball Coach Kady Crow.

Sixty-five future Hamilton High School Bulldog fans met with 11 HHS cheerleaders and five alumni helpers for the annual Bulldog Cheer Camp last week.

Hamilton coaches held football camps last week at Kooken Field where future Bulldogs learned skills and practiced drills.

Hamilton Bull Sharks competed at the TAAF Region 5 Swim Meet in Bryan on Saturday. Led by Coach Codie Brooks, 28 swimmers competed in 69 events.
