Hamilton’s varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams slammed the door on the first round of district competition with home victories over Bluff Dale on Saturday.
TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS - Hamilton’s junior high volleyball squads dominated the McGregor Junior High Volleyball Tournament over the weekend. Hamilton’s eighth graders followed up a tournament championship win in Stephenville two weeks ago by dropping Waco Reicher on Saturday in the title match to win the McGregor Tournament. Hamilton’s eighth grade Black squad also competed well, falling in the semi-final round of the tournament. After earning a runners-up finish in the Stephenville Tournament, Hamilton’s seventh grade also earned a tournament championship in McGregor after upending the host team in the title match. Hamilton’s cross-country runners were given a sneak peak of the UIL State XC Course in Round Rock on Friday and Saturday of last week.
Hamilton’s gridiron squads outpaced Itasca by a combined score of 207-0 last week. Prior to the Bulldogs ransacking Itasca last Friday 47-0, Hamilton’s junior high and junior varsity Dogs swamped the Wampus Cats in Hamilton.

In a Homecoming game for the ages, the Hamilton Bulldogs treated their hometown faithful to a 62-21 shellacking of the visiting 3A Bangs Dragons last Friday night at Kooken Field.
SERVING UP BURGERS FOR SELLERS - The Melanie J Financial team of Melanie Housden, Abbie Housden, Alex Reich and Reagan Reich served more than 150 hamburgers at Saturday’s benefit for Gina Sellers.

TOURNEY CHAMPS - The eighth grade Lady Bulldog volleyball team defeated teams from Dublin, Weatherford, Brownwood and Godley on Saturday to remain unbeaten on the season while laying claim to the Stephenville Tournament Championship.
THURSDAY NIGHT ACTION - As Hamilton’s junior high squads hosted Bangs last Thursday evening at Kooken Field, the junior varsity Bulldogs traveled to Bangs and slayed the Dragons 38-6.
