With four consecutive wins, the JV Bulldogs improved to 4-1 on the year and 1-0 in district competition last Thursday evening after pulverizing the San Saba Armadillos 28-8 at Rogen Field, a.k.a. the Graveyard, in San Saba.

Faith and perhaps some guidance from above led Cathe Allen, her husband Steve and daughter Brooklyn to Hamilton.

Dogs dunk Cougars in Leon;

Competing in Glen Rose last Wednesday on Assistant Coach Naidene Ripley’s birthday, the third in state ranked Bulldog cross country team outpaced ten other teams to win a gold medal, and the sixth-ranked Lady Bulldogs claimed team silver out of 13 4A-1A schools.

Hamilton’s high school cross country teams marched on Waco Midway last Thursday, again facing some of the top 1A-4A programs in the state.

Before the sixth in state-ranked Lady Bulldog volleyball team faced the number two ranked team in the state in Valley Mills last Saturday, the Lady Dogs traveled to McGregor and completed a three-match trifecta. Hamilton’s junior varsity Red team bounced back from an 18-25 first set loss to McGregor by claiming game two, 25-19. The young Lady Dogs cruised in the deciding third set, again stamping a 25-19 win. The JV Black upended McGregor on the road in two competitive sets by scores of 26-24 and 26-24, and the varsity Lady Bulldogs proceeded to trounce their host in a three-set sweep by scores of 25-19, 25-13 and 27-25.

Hamilton’s state-ranked Lady Bulldog volleyball team pilfered the money signs off the ends of Las Vegas and cashed in a three set victory over 4A La Vega on Tuesday of last week.
