Hamilton’s high school track athletes put on a masterclass in dominance during last Thursday’s Comanche Tribe Relays. After winning in Tolar the previous week, the varsity Lady Bulldogs again took top honors in Comanche, besting a field of seven teams with a team tally of 184 points. Hamilton Junior High track teams competed in just their second meet of the season on Monday of last week during the Comanche Junior High Tribe Relays. The eighth grade Lady Bulldogs followed up a gold medal performance in Tolar the previous week by capturing bronze in Comanche.

The 2025 All-Smoaky Central Texas Football Team was announced last week, and 13 decorated members of Hamilton’s state champion football team were awarded a total of 17 honors.
Though the Diamond Dogs dropped their district opener in Valley Mills on Tuesday of last week, 8-1, they rallied on Friday to claim their third victory of the season with a 20-7 win over Vanguard Prep in Waco. Emery Parrott, Reese Kelley and Emma Ensor each singled against Valley Mills, with Kelley’s fourth inning base knock driving in Parrott for Hamilton’s only score.
The 2026 Hamilton Bulldogs golf teams are under new management, with the girls team coming off a 9th place finish at state last year and the boys teams coming just shy of regionals . Hamilton native and four time state champion golfer Natalie Schroeder. Schroeder (formerly Kinsey) graduated from Hamilton in 2001 and was apart of the 1998-2001 girls golf state championship teams. With both golf teams having state appearances in the last four years, (boys in 2022 and girls in 2025) a local and well experienced coach with championship experience like Schroeder was brought in to get the dogs over the hump.
On Friday and Saturday, the Hamilton Bulldogs hosted the ninth-annual Louis Lowe IV Invitational, initiated by former Coach Cameron Bankston in 2018 to honor the winningest coach in program history who led the Bulldogs from 1987-1997 with 139 wins, three district titles and five playoff appearances, including a run to the state semifinals in 1989. Lowe later served as Hamilton High School principal for several years.
