Roy Dean Townsend passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born March 11, 1933, in Evant to Sherod William Alexander Townsend and Ida Irene Harris Townsend. He was one of nine children born to the couple.
Roy graduated from Evant High School in 1952 and then went on to proudly serve our country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
