Nov. 14, 2020 - Oct. 15, 2026 Garrett Lane “Bubby”, born November 14, 2020, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2026.
Although Garrett was special needs, he never once let that stop him from all his accomplishments which were many. His loves included baseball, football, hockey, and his newest obsession of Monster Jam. Bubby loved spending time with his family, going on side-by-side rides with his sister and cousins, and listening to his sister and cousins sing. His favorite pastime was watching baseball with Papa, no matter which team was playing. Bubby loved being surrounded by people and family and loved to be loved on.
Garrett is survived by his mother, Autumn Stearns and sister, Cheyenne of Lecanto, Florida, maternal grandparents, Stacy Stearns-Clay and Michal Clay of Lecanto, Florida, paternal grandfather, Bradley Bean of Desoto, Illinois, maternal great grandparents, Herbert and Gina Stearns of Lecanto, Florida, paternal great grandparents, Bruce and Helen Bean of Desoto, Illinois, Aunt Kylie Bean of Desoto, Illinois, and very special great Aunt and Uncle Lindsey and Michael Cacyuk of Jonesboro.
Garrett had found a bonus family that he loved dearly, Uncle Travis and Aunt Makayla, cousins Journey, Elijah, Jeremiah, and Caroline Price. A bonus grandma and grandpa, Rodney and Jennifer Murry, all of Jonesboro, who did not see a special needs little boy, but a little boy, full of life, that loved them as his own family.
Bubby was a special little boy, who brought joy and light to anyone he met. He loved with his whole heart. While his time doesn’t feel long enough, his family is at peace knowing he is healed in heaven with Jesus and left them with a lifetime of memories. He will be loved and missed deeply.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Lanham Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.. Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
