Coda Elizabeth Payne Brumbalow Bottlinger, 75, of Hamilton, passed away in her home on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.

Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial in St. Paul Cemetery at Aleman.

Coda was born in Gorman to Chester and Eloise Caraway Payne on July 3, 1947. She married Werner (Jr.) Bottlinger on Feb. 17, 1979.

Coda worked as a CNA for 35 years. Her love and compassion for her patients was evident throughout the years. She retired in 2004, after which she focused on her family. Coda’s door was always open, and she was always willing to help anyone. Coda was baptized in 2001 and was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner Bottlinger Jr.; her parents, Chester and Eloise Payne; and a great-grandson, Evan Moore.

She is survived by her three children, Cresha Brumbalow Moore and husband Clay Moore of Hamilton, Elvis Eugene Brumbalow and wife Jenny of Tuscola and Glynetta Brumbalow Carroll and husband Thomas of Hamilton; 13 grandkids, 24 great-grandkids; lots of nieces and nephews; a sister, Lorene Carroll of Comanche; a brother, Bishop Payne of Buchanan Dam; and a brother-in-law, Calvin Bottlinger of Fredericksburg.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Fredrick, Darrell Fredrick, Brad Moore, Joseph Brumbalow, Benjamin Moore and Chris Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Teagan Brumbalow, Amen Brumbalow, Jonathan Fredrick, B.J. Pafford and Trevor Russell.
