Steak and Spuds postponed

Originally set for Valentine’s Day, the Hamilton Band Boosters’ annual Hamilton Band Steak Dinner has been moved to Feb. 21. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for youth 13 and under and can be purchased from a band student or at the door. The event is to-go only at the High School Commons.

Pancake supper moved to Feb. 23

Due to inclement weather, the Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper set for Feb. 16 has been moved to Feb. 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lee Conference Center. Hosted by Hamilton TX Helping Hands and St. Mary’s Anglican Church, the drive-up or dine-in event is free to the community but donations are accepted and appreciated.

Council seeks infrastructure funds source

Hamilton City Council last Thursday discussed financing of water distribution and wastewater collection system improvements and sewer main line installation in the alley behind Main Street on the south side of the square; had its first reading of an amended grease trap ordinance; received the Hamilton Police Department’s annual crime and racial profiling reports; and approved board members and updates for Hamilton Historic Main Street board and quarterly financials for Hamilton Economic Development Corporation.
