HCJLA meeting Nov. 1

The Prairie Oaks Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program will offer a new spring class beginning Jan. 18. Registration for the class will officially open online at https://txmn.org/prairieoaks/ 2023-spring-training/ on Nov. 1. The chapter offers residents of Comanche, Erath, Hamilton and Palo Pinto counties the opportunity to join a corps of volunteers dedicated to the beneficial management of the natural resources and wildlife of our region.

A celebration honoring veterans will be held on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Cranfills Gap at the City Park. Veterans, families and friends are invited. While there, view the new Veterans Memorial.

STEPHENVILLE — Genealogy aficionados are invited to the W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center for a genealogy discussion with Dr. Deborah Liles at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20.
