Bread Making Essentials for Complete Beginners will be June 20 at 2 p.m. They will have three types of bread to taste, step by step instructions for making the perfect loaf of bread, and we will make a loaf to take home. The class will be held in the Hamilton County Courthouse Annex upstairs in the conference room.

Public Comment Sought for Proposed Deer Carcass Disposal Regulations
AUSTIN — Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is seeking public comment until May 22 on proposed deer carcass disposal regulations and movement restrictions. Carcass Disposal Currently, hunters who harvest deer within a Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) zone must comply with carcass movement restrictions, which require quartering a hunter- harvested animal and leaving the most infectious parts of the animal (i.e., brain and spinal cord) within the zone.

The first reported sighting of the May 11, 1970 tornado came from an off-duty policeman, who spotted a funnel cloud at 8:10 pm three miles east of the Lubbock city limits.
