The family of Steven Milton Schneider want to express our sincere thanks to everyone who attended Steve’s celebration of life memorial service. We also appreciate receiving so many visits, calls, messages, prayers, love, support, meals, beautiful flowers/ plants and memorial donations made in Steve’s memory. A special thank you goes to Pastor Aaron Kalbas of St. John Lutheran Church for preaching such a beautiful sermon for our beloved Steve’s celebration of life memorial service, for which we received many compliments. Kayla Schraub, thank you for the special slide show that shared many memories of PaPa’s wonderful life and included him singing one of his favorite songs. During their eulogies, Kayla Schraub and Jay McDaniel presented special tributes in honor of Steve. We also want to thank Bonnye Wenzel for providing the beautiful music during the memorial service. We extend our deepest thanks to Kent Wenzel, with Wenzel Lonestar Meat Company, for catering the BBQ Brisket lunch after the service; Erika Chew for providing the tea; and Nancy Ivy, Shirley Hennig, Sharon-Leath Malone, Brenda O’Shields and Sandi Hooks for providing the delicious desserts. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of the physicians and nurses for the excellent care they provided to Steve during his battles with cancer. Also, thank you for the love and support provided to Steve and our family by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Riley Funeral Home, his friends/coworkers from Alexander Moulding Mill, and the Hamilton-Herald News. The many acts of kindness and sympathy extended to us by our family and friends continue to be a comfort during this difficult time of our great loss and sorrow. Apples are a fruit available all year but taste the best when freshly picked from a local orchard or picked up at a farmers’ markets in the fall. Whether making apple butter, sauce, pie, salad, drying, freezing, canning, or cutting them up to snack on later, one universal struggle is slicing fast enough before they start turning brown. Working against the clock in the kitchen to peel and prepare apples before they start browning can feel stressful.
Come see us! We are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. each day. The menu is subject to change.
