Jonesboro VFD BBQ March 23

I recently stated that there are hundreds of towns in Texas the size of Hamilton, but it’s our people that set us aside from everyone else. That was never more evident than last night at the annual Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Awards were given out to some of our most outstanding citizens and they all, most assuredly deserved it, but the room was full of people who make Hamilton such a great place to live and what a hometown should be. Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you for the effort and contribution you give to make Hamilton what it is.

Hamilton County Commissioners Court on Tuesday morning heard from two citizens who want tax abatements discontinued and asked the court to sign a resolution to that effect.
