Kenneth and Denise Barclay will be married 50 years on Thursday, July 28. They have been residents of Hamilton for the past 27 years.

On behalf of the family of Richard Hill, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our community, friends, family, the staff at Hamilton General Hospital and everyone who stood by our family during this difficult time. Words cannot express how deeply moved we are by all the kind gestures, thoughtfulness, acts of love and many prayers we have received. Though he is already greatly missed, we find comfort in the fact that we will see him again.

Hamilton Independent School District’s Guardian team held an active shooter drill on the school’s campuses July 22 with the assistance of LaVega ISD, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Assistant Chief Isaac Partain, Lt. Ron Schmidt of Hamilton Police Department and Trooper Wade Knutson of Texas Department of Public Safety.
