St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aleman had its annal German Service of Songs and Worship Sunday with a packed house. Rev. Don Poole and Rev. Bernard J. Schey conducted the service in English and German Sunday evening with organist Kraig Kunkel and the bell choir of St. Paul Lutheran, Fort Worth, providing accompaniment and special music. Worship services for the Aleman church were conducted in the Pleasant Point schoolhouse exclusively in German until 1913, when English was introduced. The Gothic Revival-style sanctuary building was completed in 1916.
