Inspired by the 1985 movie and classic board game, Clue on Stage is a hilarious murder mystery. The Hamilton Civic Theatre show runs Oct. 3 through 6 at the Ross Street Theater. Tickets are $20, and show times are 7 p.m.
As I am writing this on Monday, I’m giving thanks for the 2 ½ inches of rain I received and the cooler temperatures. After two years of struggling with a terrible drought, this year we have been blessed and all the tanks and lakes around us are full. As Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller told the Hamilton County Republican Party at their meeting last week, some parts of Texas are in a very dangerous position. Lake Falcon in south Texas is 14% of capacity full. Lake Amistad in southwest Texas is only 27%. There are still areas we should pray for because nothing can exist very long without water.
First United Methodist Church in Gatesville will have its Harvest Festival throughout the month of October.
Effective Monday, Sept. 30, Hamilton Central Appraisal District will be open through the lunch hour every day.
The Hamilton County Historical Museum now has more books on “Billy the Kid” for sale for $25.
The Hamilton High School Class of 1964 will meet for its 60th Class Reunion Oct. 26 at the Wenzel Event Center, 209 N. Bell St., from noon to 4 pm. Contact Mike or Billie Katherine Looney no later than Oct. 7.
