Hamilton’s junior varsity Bulldogs improved to 2-3 on the season with a 27-8 victory over the visiting San Saba Armadillos last Thursday evening at Kooken Field.

Hamilton’s junior high gridiron squads split games at Kooken Field with the visiting San Saba Armadillos last Thursday evening. After ceding an 8-0 opening drive advantage to San Saba, Hamilton’s seventh grade offense failed to capitalize on a defensive takeaway midway through the first quarter. Calleum Wagner forced a Dillo fumble that was recovered at midfield by Elijah Kalbas. A few plays thereafter, San Saba stripped a Bulldog ballcarrier to regain possession of the ball and control of the game. The Armadillos proceeded to roll for 28 unanswered points in defeating the now 0-12 seventh grade Dogs, 28-0.

Hamilton’s high school and junior high cross country teams again clocked winning times on Wednesday of last week during the Brock Invitational.

In pursuit of a third straight state championship, Hamilton’s varsity Lady Bulldog cross country team remains unbeaten on the year after claiming their fourth consecutive title of the season by winning the Lipan Invitational last week.
