HJH circles up in Comanche
Hamilton’s junior high track athletes circled up their wagons in Comanche on Monday of last week for the Comanche Junior High Tribe Relays. The Bulldog and Lady Bulldog eighth grade teams each placed second behind the host school, and the seventh grade Dogs and Lady Dogs both took third behind Comanche and Hico respectively. Scoring points for Hamilton in the CJH Tribe Relays were as follows.
Golf teams battle freezing temps
Despite tee time temperatures dipping below freezing on Monday of last week, the Bulldog golf team took to the course in Baird and stroked a fourth-placed finish out of 20 teams in the Eula Invitational.
Road Dogs steamrolling to victory
The Lady Bulldogs tagged the scoreboard for seven runs in the fourth inning last Friday night, steamrolling to an 11-1 district victory over Itasca in Hamilton.
This one’s for the girls
HOMERUN DERBY - Wedle Banda, Sam Hall and Dylan Melde were among 15 batters in the derby hosted by the 10u softball girls. Senior powerlifter Jose Najera (right), pictured with Head Bulldog Powerlifting Coach Aaron Emeyabbi (left), placed first overall in the 242-pound weight class at the Region 2, Division 4 powerlifting meet in West last Friday. Najera hoisted a regional title winning 1400 pounds in West, including a squat of 575 pounds, a bench press of 340 pounds and a dead lift of 485 pounds. HHS sinks fangs in Rattler Relays
The 2022 track season starting gun fired on Thursday of last week as Hamilton’s high school track athletes took to the outdoors for the Tolar Rattler Relays. Hamilton’s varsity girls trapped a Rattler Relay title, and the varsity Dogs raced to a second overall team finish.
Golfers on PAR as season opens
Hamilton’s Bulldog golfers posted a second-placed score of 342, just 19 strokes behind tournament leader Valley Mills, during the Comanche Invitational on Tuesday of last week.
