First Baptist Church pastor Dr. Drew Dabbs was presented a love offering from the church and a plaque by deacon chair Debi Norman to celebrate his 10th anniversary as pastor of the church. Tim Morrow of Belton with Texas Baptists read a celebratory proclamation in honor of Dabbs. A reception was held afterwards. Dr. Dabbs has pastored FBC through a decade of happy and challenging times, including the COVID-19 pandemic. When he and wife Emily, a teacher at Ann Whitmey Elementary, moved to Hamilton, oldest daughter Evangeline was entering kindergarten. Evangeline is now a sophomore at Hamilton High School, while son Trey will be a freshman in the fall, daughter Annabelle will be a Hamilton Junior High cheerleader and Emma Faith a fifth grader. The Dabbses also have added to their family since arriving in Hamilton, welcoming son Collin 2 1/2 years ago.
