Texas Department of Transportation and its crews continue to work on FM 218 between SH 36 and FM 2486 as they rehabilitate the existing road. To perform this work safely, traffic control measures are in place to close parts of the roadway, including the Bear Creek Bridge.

When in use, these non-invasive detectors (no cameras, sound, or motion sensors) can bring any residence into the modern realm of remote assessment. VETERANS HONORED– Cranfills Gap honored veterans last Wednesday with the dedication of a new memorial. The Cranfills Gap Veterans Memorial is three double-sided stones engraved with more than 650 veterans’ names serving from present day through the Spanish American War, all with ties to Cranfills Gap. Jeanne Bayless was the Master of Ceremonies.
