Two buildings are a complete loss in downtown Carlton after a structure fire Jan. 6. According to information released by Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department, multiple departments battled the fire including Carlton, Hamilton, Hico, Dublin and Shive. Dalton Drilling tankers also aided in the fire.

Sin is very dangerous (Isa. 59:1-2; Rom. 6:23) and must be avoided at all cost. It is spiritual maturity that allows us to have our “senses exercised to discern good and evil” (Heb. 5:12-14). This spiritual maturity does not come without effort – it comes through a diligent study of the word of God (2 Tim. 2:15). It is important to remember that it is not mere facts that bring spiritual maturity, but the putting to use of those principles learned.
